Refunds & cancellations
Last updated 14 September 2026.
Most of FlatHunt is free. Posting a room, browsing what is nearby, shortlisting and chatting cost nothing and are not part of any plan. This page is about FlatHunt Plus, the optional subscription.
What you are paying for
FlatHunt Plus unlocks the filtered Matches feed, the map, new-match alerts, teaming up with flatmates, and revealing a contact number. Every account gets a free week first, and you are told the price and the billing period before anything is charged.
Weekly and monthly, on purpose
A flat hunt ends. We sell a weekly plan so somebody who signs a lease on Saturday can stop paying on Sunday, and a monthly one for people who expect to still be looking in a fortnight. There is no annual plan, because a year-long subscription to finding a flat would mostly be charging people who already found one.
Cancelling
Subscriptions are bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store, and they are cancelled the same way — in your store account, not here. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf, and neither can we see your payment details.
- Android: Google Play → your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing is pro-rated back for the unused part of it.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment, under its own policy, because the store is the merchant of record — we never receive your card details and cannot reverse a charge.
- Google Play: request a refund at play.google.com or through Google Play support. Google's own window for app and in-app purchases is generally 48 hours, after which it is at their discretion.
- App Store: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If the store declines and you believe something went wrong on our side — you were charged after cancelling, or a paid feature did not work — write to us and we will look into it and take it up with the store where we can.
If a feature stops working
Parts of FlatHunt depend on services we do not run, such as the map tiles and the routing that measures your commute. If one of those becomes unavailable we will say so in the app rather than leave it failing quietly. If a paid feature is unavailable for an extended period, write to us.
Asking us about a charge
Email support@flathunt.in with the store you bought it from and the date. We reply within three working days.
